Cook with Me | An Indian Breakfast
Class date: Saturday 15 January at 11:00am
Latest research may have indicated that breakfast is not the most important meal of the day. However, my grandma, Dolly did not get that memo! Nor did the cook at Aaji Srivastav's house.
While a lot of us have embraced spice and can make a mean curry at home, not much is really said about the Indian breakfast. The great thing about our breakfast meals is that they are mostly vegetarian and can be had at pretty much any time of the day. Some are sweet and some are savory. Most of them require little to no preparation and come together quickly. Added bonus - they are child friendly!
I thought I'd teach you two of my favourites! Rava Kheer is something I had with my Bawaji Nariman whenever I visited him for breakfast at his State Bank of India office. Poha, I fell in love with later. It's the ideal breakfast to make when you want something a bit substantial that's also vegetarian. Would you like to learn how to make them? Then join us!
